FAQ’s

Is hypnosis safe ?

Absolutely. Hypnosis is a non-intrusive therapy in which you are always in control of yourself. There are many myths surrounding hypnosis, including the idea that people in a hypnotic state can act against their will or reveal private information. These scenarios, often presented in books or movies, are fabrications for entertainment only. In reality, the hypnotic state is more like a lively reverie, where you keep control.

Your moral and ethical sense remains intact, as is your sense of privacy and secrecy. Hypnosis is a natural state in which every individual is naturally several times a day, it is by no means an artificial state. Most people are not aware that they are in a hypnotic state many times each day. The feeling of trance that you feel when reading a book, watching a movie or watching TV or dreaming are all hypnotic states characterized by focused attention.

I heard there is a risk of not waking up ?

You do not sleep; you are in a state of perfect relaxation, which may take about the same time from the moment you wake up in the morning after a dream to readjust to the normal rhythm of the day.

If an exhausted person falls asleep during a session, and the practitioner does not wake him/her up, she/he will wake up as if after a simple nap, perfectly relaxed. Similarly, if the practitioner does not remove the person from his hypnotic trance, the person returns to a fully awake stage in less than 16 minutes according to some studies.

What is past lives regression ?

Regression in past lives implies that the individual is guided through a life that his higher consciousness will have chosen to show him through the practitioner leading the session. When your unconscious, your Higher Being takes you to visit a past life, it shows you the origin, the source of a physical, mental, moral or sentimental problem that you are experiencing today. This information is then important in understanding and improving the person’s current situation. Regression in past lives is guided in such a way that eventual traumatic events are viewed with detachment as a scene seen from the outside by an observer and not relived. The person sees scenes in a detached way without being emotionally involved. Just like when you watch a movie, you feel sympathy for the character but do not feel any trauma or pain they do experience in the story.

The practitioner guides the person through a lifetime, and, with the help of the Higher self will identify the source of the disorder that this person experiences in order to become aware of its origin and to eliminate the consequences that still disturb their present life.

This process can help identify and explain the cause of the difficulties and the person’s current challenges and help you find appropriate solutions. You can find the causes of emotions, anxieties and fears that overwhelm you. This can help you understand why you are having difficult relationships and how to solve them. Regression in one or more previous lives may help explain your attraction or aversion to certain people, objects or places.

As you have understood, a past life regression can help you find relief from what are often considered psychosomatic ailments, such as depression, addictions, anxiety, and phobias. It may also help you finding the purpose and direction of your life. It can also help you find gifts and abilities you have already had in the past to benefit from today again.

What is the Higher Self ?

The Higher Self, The Higher Being, The Deep Self, your subconscious, is that part of yourself that knows everything about you. It is much, much more complex than the subconscious generally treated in hypnosis and referred to in psychology. It is an immense store of resources and wisdom, intelligent intuition and knowing, who can give a meaning, fulfilment, and real purpose to your life.

Your Higher Self can answer all your questions. He knows all there is to know about you and the life you live now as well as your past incarnations. Obtaining this information through your Higher Being is crucial to the therapeutic aspect of the technique, as it brings you comfort, support and better understanding in many areas of your life. The Higher Self will only choose to share information appropriate for your evolution and information that will only be useful to you. If appropriate, this part of you is also able to provide physical and emotional well-being. He can do it instantly or his healing work will continue for days, weeks and even months after your session.

Will I remember something ?

Most people seem to remember pieces, and more rarely of all experience. As the daily activities resume, the memories of the details, at least, fade away. Your session will be recorded and you will receive a copy of your session so that you can listen to it and benefit completely at your convenience. To listen to your session and to draw wisdom and lessons from it is just as important, if not more important, than to experience them.

Will I lose control of what I say or do during a session ?

No, your subconscious will never act against your interests or your values. Its job, its function is to protect you and serve you by using archived information when it is needed. Although you are in such a relaxed and deep state that can sometimes cloud your memory and conscious interaction, it will never say or do anything that will leave you exposed or vulnerable.

It is for this reason that a person will never do anything against his will or that goes against her/his moral values. For example, if a person under hypnosis is asked to undress, she will not do so because this behaviour does not fit in with her moral principles, her sense of ethics. Just as you will not be told what you want to keep secret. You keep full control of your actions and words at all times.

It is important to note here that you will also have the opportunity, during the interview process, to get to know your practitioner, to respond to your concerns and to know the high level of integrity and respect that is essential to the process.

I do not want memories retrieved or implanted.

You have certainly seen a demonstration of “temporary amnesia” obtained during a show, a stage hypnosis. For example, the hypnotist erases a number 4 from someone’s memory and the person will count from 1 to 9 at the request of the hypnotist, and will be omitting the number 4 when leaving the state of hypnosis briefly to do so. The hypnotist then puts him back in trance and makes him reintegrate the number 4 to his memory before bringing him out of trance a second time and asking him to count, which the person normally does including the number 4. This amnesia is real but only lasts a few moments only and the effect fades in seconds or a few minutes. It’s just for the show.

First of all, if the hypnotist does not plunge the person into a state of trance to reintegrate the number 4 in his memory, this is done automatically in the next minute without his intervention and moreover this type of experience has nothing to do with what is practiced in Introspective Hypnosis.

The subconscious mind will always do what is in your best interest. If a suggestion is given to you under hypnosis that you find inappropriate, your unconscious mind will block this suggestion and you will simply refuse to do so. No one will make you do anything against your free will or your best interest under hypnosis.

Will it make a difference if I do not believe in past lives or reincarnation ?

No. Beliefs are not necessary to the Higher Self. Whatever your questions, it is still the source of all answers and will help you in ways that will surprise you.

The innate drive of our minds, especially our deeper subconscious minds, is to help us reach balance, fulfilment, understanding and happiness.

How many sessions will I need for a complete treatment ?

Most people only need one session. It is also possible to do one or more follow-up sessions if you wish to do so. If that is the case, I can prepare you to quickly access the desired state of relaxation, substantially shortening the follow-up session.

What is the best way to approach my hypnosis session ?

Approach it with an open mind and the curiosity of a child, without any expectation and without judgment. Like everything, as soon as you remove any expectation of an upcoming experience, it opens the range of possibilities and can surprise you pleasantly throughout its course.

I recommend doing at least 20 relaxation and visualization exercise sessions (30 minutes) to get you to let go and become familiar with the state of hypnosis and the experience you are about to go through. You do it in total security of the privacy of your home which allows you to let go. You will find in the section “your session” a document containing all the recommendations necessary for before, during and after your session.
